Last Thursday, Atty. Jerry Basiao finished the last stitches of a case filed
against Northland Hotel and Resort located at Manapla for the drowning of my
nephew Jonel at their swimming pool.
Since Atty. Basiao was on a hectic schedule as there are other cases he had to attend to, we decided to have lunch together and he suggested that instead of our usual places for lunch in downtown Bacolod, for a change we decided to take lunch at AID Foundation in Mansilingan. Atty. Basiao said everything they cook there are organic. It is a simple meal but for a change he wanted us to experience lunch at AID Foundation.
AID stands for Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation Inc. The place is located at Murcia Road after you pass by Mansilingan. The front is a wide sugarcane field. Though the place is not as attractive as the trendy restaurants in downtown Bacolod, yet the breeze coming from the sugarcane field is soothing enough and a contrast from the air-conditioned dining rooms of restaurants in the downtown area.
